Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her career in showbiz at a young age. She was a lead actress in dramas on television as young as 16 years old. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film) was critically as well as highly rated commercially. Other Oscar nominated film starring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra's career has seen her be involved in a variety of significant national and international productions. The projects include British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. She was also a member of both jury for the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
