Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is known for parts on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara was the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16 she portrayed the lead part in a variety of television dramas. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was both critically and commercially acclaimed. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. Through the years, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of notable international and national projects. One of these is the British biographical documentary Control, Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon. Her other roles include being an official jury member for both the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
